We designed this Knowledge Bloc to to introduce educators to the potential of large language models (LLMs) in the classroom. Participants will learn how to leverage these tools to spark innovative ideas, design engaging activities, and seamlessly embed creative thinking into their lessons using their preferred LLM. Tailored for educators new to generative AI, the course offers hands-on support and practical strategies for exploring, applying, and evaluating these tools effectively. Whether you’re just beginning with AI or completely new, this course provides the guidance you need to confidently integrate LLMs into your practice.

All you need is a computer, access to a large language model, and a comfortable spot to work. Come open to the experience and ready to connect new ideas with your own teaching and expertise. The information alone won’t change your classroom. instead it’s the connections you make and how you apply your new knowledge that will make the difference.
All Blocs within the 5 Bytes must be completed to be eligible for a Knowledge Bloc to be marked as completed.
- Completion of three Knowledge Blocs = 1 Continuing Education Unit
- Completion of one Knowledge Bloc = 0.4 Continuing Education Unit
Upon completion of three Knowledge Blocs, the Knowledge Bloc Team will send a Certificate of Completion within five business days.

Knowledge Blocs contain 5 Bytes, each with a video, contributing information, activity, quiz, and additional community features. Some Knowledge Blocs may include a supplemental Workbook, available through Google Suite at no charge for the end user. A Google Account is required to access this feature.
There is no time limit for Knowledge Blocs. Video Bytes may require viewing where indicated. Quiz Bytes may require a minimum score of 80% – 90% where indicated. All quizzes must receive a passing grade to obtain credit for the entire Bloc.
