This Knowledge Bloc introduces educators to the benefits of merging Arts into a traditional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) environment for meaningful learning.
Participants will learn how the Arts empower creativity, problem solving, and innovation in students alongside the technical skills from STEM. They will learn to identify the factors needed for a highly effective STEAM lesson and understand the benefits criteria and constraints bring to challenges.

- Apply creative thinking strategies to solve technical challenges within a STEM environment.
- Design a learning activity that seamlessly incorporates Arts standards alongside Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math objectives.
- Improve an existing STEM assignment by integrating specific creative thinking skills and artistic constraints.
- Devise a long-term strategy to foster student agency and innovation through consistent STEAM implementation.
